Awwww! I rememeber that feeling (or should I say ALL those emotions). I'm sure you are both proud and sad all at the same time and nervous about all the "not knowing." Will you be going to MEPS to watch him swear in or taking him to the recruiter?...

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your daughter. I lost my father 5 years ago and although it wasn't confirmed, we think his cancer had come back. Know that you are in my thoughts today. And please know that your son's decision to serve is appreciated by myself and my husband. We know the sacrifices and are proud of all the young people who decide to serve their country.(Wow! Just reread this, sounds like we KNOW everything!:) Normally I'd retype, but I developing a headache.) Hang in there Butterfly Mom and let me know if I can answer any questions for you. Cindi

Just read your comment on the November Boot Camp Families page. Oh, I feel for you! When did your son leave? My son left on the 18th. This site is the only thing keeping me sane! Hang in there!

Oh Butterfly Mom
We will be here to help you as much as possible. Here, I thought it was hard losing his cat on my brother's birthday at the veterinarian's office---they left me alone to cry as I sent my kitty up to heaven with love for my brother. But a daughter would be so much harder I think than my brother.
Do know that we care. If you are interested, there is a prayer wall at http://www.navyformoms.com/group/prayerwall

Hi
there is a Missouri family group page. Be sure and look for it. In the meantime, also join boot camp mom's--there's a wealth of information on it, and tons of support.
Hug your recruit for us. Let us know if you have any questions.
