- I love your photo of big Sailor kissing baby Sailor! Noo, I don't see the recruits on the slideshow......did you just put them on today? If so, they will most likely show up tomorrow after "approval." Can't wait - wouldn't it be incredible if I see my son? Of course, right now, they all like alike with no hair and in the same clothes......maybe I can find him by his height (6'3).

- Oohhh, I see you some some groups of recruits marching while you were at PIR - you said they sounded good - do you mean they were singing? I'm so jealous! :o) My son is there, obviously, LOL! I guess your pics have to be approved before they're in your slide show? I'm looking for them....... I'm so happy for you that your through with Boot Camp but sad that you had a grad -n- go............. And can't wait to see your pics!

Jacqueline Manning said… - ATT is Advanced Techinical Training....AWAT is Advanced weapons & Tactics. As far as I know all AT's still train in Pensacola. They do have a c-school I heard in Mississippi. The only reason he would stay in Great Lakes is to maybe get his ATT & AWAT out of the way before heading to Pensacola.

Remind me again what Michaels rate(job) is. I have been hearing alot of sailors will be on hold for a couple weeks at Great Lakes before heading to a-school. I know also they are compacting classes big time. We have sailors in our Pensacola Group finishing 12 week classes in 6-8 weeks! I havent heard that they are moving any classes from Pensacola. But I have heard that some of the sailors stay at Great Lakes and do ATT & AWAT classes there before coming to Pensacola. What is his rate???
