When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
The Recruiter changed my nervous feelings to feelings of excitement for my son! As Paul took his oath I felt so proud!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I'm trying to get my daughter to run - its not working. She is lifeguarding and swimming and running in the water. It helps, but she still needs to run. We are heading to a water park this weekend for a mini-vacation, also planned it put-put and go to a 3-D movie.

Hi Cindy!
Yes. Only 2 more months. My daughter came to the house last night and we ran/walked. She set a pace too fast for me! Then we walked, we also had her dog on a leash. She needs to be in better shape before she leaves. I called the recruiter yesterday - they need a release from her gallbladder surgery. Everything else was OK. She is going to dinner with a friends daughter that was in the navy about 6-7 years ago - she is going to tell her details about BC.

I am so glad we have N4M. I dont know how I would make it thru BC without everyone.

Hey Cindy -- I've been thinking about you a lot lately. Mario graduated from bootcamp in February, spent two months at A school and is now home on leave before he has to report to the USS Ronald Reagan for assignment. He's a young man now, not the boy I sent off to Boot Camp in December. He loves the Navy so far and really feels proud of all that he's accomplished.

I only tell you these things because both of our sons were so young to enlist. But never fear, this is a good thing for them. I'll have post a photo or two of Mario in his dress blues. I'm incredibly proud of him, as I'm sure you will be of your own son. All the best my friend. And if you need a shoulder when he goes off to bootcamp this August, know that I'm here for you.

Dear Cindy,
I know the neighbors would have a good laugh watching me chasing him down the street. HAHA! He's a little doll though, God bless him. I pray Aidee stay a good baby. I told Kim to have him see other people so that when she visits home he won't freak out seeing strangers. I'll be so heart broken if he'd cr when he see me again.

I'm leaving on Thursday, but I'll be back in a few weeks so that Kim can study for the two tests.

Kim told me an old friend of hers from A School is coming here next week. Her friend is being stationed here, and is pregnant. I told Kim to ask her friend about being roommates... Kim has two huge beautiful bedrooms she's paying for and not using. I'd feel better if she has a roommate, plus the girls can split the bills.

Let me run. We had about 6-8 inch's of snow yesterday. Today's temperature warmed up, everything is melting. It must be around 40 degrees now.

Stay well.
Take care and God bless,
Love,
Barbara

Dear Cindy,
You know what it is, newborns are easy to take care of, then they get so cute and playful. The toddler age I found a handful. And now, with me disabled, picture me running down the street with my walker chasing after my grandson! HAHA! I'll have to learn rodeo roping to catch him! HAHA!

The teenage years are always a horror. My older daughter gave me so much trouble with her cutting school. But she promised me she'd graduate on time and she did. Now my son, he's in a class all his own. He's my gray hair. He's 19 and has two more years of high school, if he doesn't cut school.

Let me run. take care and God bless,

Dear Cindy,
You perfectly phrased it, giving life means giving up yours. Truer words were never more spoken.

I've been talking to Kim about this. She says she's not depressed. She thought the baby thing sounded all nicey nice. Never gave it a thought, a baby is work. She's slowly getting into it. She did a bath solo tonight. I told her, the old saying, practice makes perfect. I remind her, Aiden is going to be so much fun before she knows it, when he responds. But play and talk to him even though he doesn't respond yet.
Thank you for your compliment of Aiden. He's my little love. I love holding him and smooshing him up with kisses/

Let me run. I'm backlogged as usual.
Take care and God bless,
Love,
Barbara

Dear Cindy,
Thank you so very much. Both Kim and Aiden are doing great, thank God. Kim posted some pictures on my (N4M) My Page pictures. He is so precious, and so far, a good baby, thank God.

I am having so much fun smooshing that face up! HAHA!

We have to find a babysitter with in the next 5 weeks that she's on maternity leave How I dread that, I don't trust anyone with a baby. My kids never had a babysitter. But, Kim has to return back to work.

WHen Aiden is sleeping, he looks exactly like my three when they were babies. But when his eyes are opened, they're so big and look brownish with a hint of blue. Beautiful, he might have his father's eyes. I don't remember at what age the eye color stablelize.

Let me get going. I haven't been writting like I normally do. I'm not comfortable with the laptop and no mouse.
Take care and God bless,
love,
Barbara

You are very welcome. From the comments I have gotten from many, it is evident that many on here were not aware of this potential safety concern. Blessings to you and yours.
