Hi Cookie,
Welcome--I live very close to you at Louetta and Grant road. I know of atleast 2 other moms in the area who have sons in the DEP program. Tell me about your son--where/when he graduated, when he is due to leave for BC and what he is going in for.

I know what you mean. I'm a nurse and have to work today. It's hard sometimes to find a day when everyone can make it. I'm sorry you won't be able to make it, but we might, at this meeting, be establishing regular meetings.

Hi, Welcome to Navy for Mom’s. You will find lots of support, advice, information, and friends here!! All you have to do is read, read, read!!

I would like to invite you to join the group of moms from Texas!! We are the largest state group on this site!! (Everything is bigger in Texas - including Navy Moms)!! We reached 500 members on February 12, 2009. We should reach 700 members on August 8th!! We were one year old on March 8, 2009!!!

Just go to the groups tab and type in Texas in the search box. The icon of the group is the state of Texas, of course!! If you can’t find that, click on my picture to the left and it will take you to my page. You can find the same icon there. Just click on it and you can join us!!

Please leave a short message about where you live and what your sailor is doing. Also, please let us know how you found Navy for Moms.

My sailor son, Derek, is a MA (Master at Arms) - He is now stationed in Portsmouth, Virginia and headed to Spain sometime this fall.

Hi Wendy, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy for 2 years and is an IT3 & my future son-in-law Tim has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz. What will your son/daughter be doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We're' glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your Sailor. Pat

P.S. I am also an RN, come join our group, Navy Nurse Mom's.
