Thanks Kim for the info. I'm not a paranoid person, but I was beginning to think I should become one. Bobby keeps telling me his friends mom's are on here too, and I keep telling him that I would never know because no one uses any names.

I have noticed that some of you don't say your son/daughter's name. Is their a reason for that? Are we not suppose to say their name and if not, why? Bobby never told me I should not say his name. Just curious.

Hi, Deb and thanks for replying. I talked to my son tonight and told him that Bobby was there with him. He said that there are so many guys and he is not sure that he would recognize him. I told him to listen for his name. I don't know how close the different divisions are to each other. I know that he is on Dewey Ave. also. Tell Bobby to look for him as he might have a better chance of finding him.

To answer your questions about what BUD/S stands for.....Basic Underwater Demolition/Seal School. I am excited that your son, Regan, is interested in the SEAL program. My son has wanted to do this since his sophmore year and started watching all the videos and training himself. He trained in the water, in the gym, outside. He talked to everyone he could to gather info. He did quite well on his pre-tests. Hopefully, he pulls through this training. It is a definite ride!!

Good luck to Bobby as well. All of our sailors are so important to us and our country in every division of the Navy. Hopefully they will meet up. By the way, a friend of yours and Bobby's just started working with me. Her name is Yvette Mediano. Her son that is Bobby's age just signed up for the Navy today. He is so excited. We were talking and she mentioned that his friends are in the Navy and how he wanted to go too. She mentioned Bobby Enger and I said, "I know the Engers and what a coinsidence! I just spoke to Bob last night." What a small world!!

Let's keep in touch!

Hi Pat. Thank you for your quick response. My son Bobby, 20, will be doing the advanced electronics program. I am so very proud of him. I am trying to encourage my daughter, Shea, 19 to join the Navy also, as she is going to school to be a nurse, or maybe psychology, to work in mental health. She can't believe I would even mention it to her...lol...I am encouraging her to come to her brother's bootcamp graduation, so she can get more of an idea of what its all about.

I am happy to have found you, as we can all use the encouragement and support that I'm sure this site will provide.

Thanks, and God Bless to all of our troops!

Renuing drivers license:

My son needs to renue his drivers license. He wants me to try to do it here in Ca, because he wants to keep his license a CA drivers license. I think he needs to do it there. Does anyone know how the Navy handles that? Do they have a way they do it on-line?

I would appreciate help from anyone who has gone through this.

Thank you,

debs...
