About me:
My name is Destiny and I'm married to my best friend Anthony. He is currently in Great Lakes, IL going through boot camp. I joined this site upon his request for me to find a picture of him marching. Stil have yet to find it but i'll keep looking, and if anyone wants to help that'd be great! We are from southern CA and are going to be stationed in SC while he's in school. I'm really excited to start our NAVY life together!
I am here to support or represent my:
Spouse/Significant other
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I've learned that you just have to take things day by day when your significant other is away. It's tough at first, but as the days go by you find peace in everything you do. I never wanted to live a military life, but it's proven the best career choice for my husband. I love him so much, and will stand by his side as long as he's by mine. :)
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Proud Navy Wife! I have a Sailor, <3

This trip to see him graduate couldn't come any sooner. I'm so anxious and excited! He called me yesterday and I honestly was speechless!!! Didn't know what to say or how to say it. All I wanted to say was how much I loved and missed him, <3 See you soon babe! <3

My son is a nuke officer (lieutenant) on a submarine. He has been in for 5 years. He is getting married. I love pictures of our sailors.

There a groups for girlfriends and wives but just remember that once in a while any group will get "dramatic" - avoid those situations. You've got better things to do.  What is your husband going to specialize in?  My son's commitment to the Navy will end next month. He is getting married and looking for a job!  But I'll be around - you can always find me in my local group.  San Francisco Bay Area Navy Families group (clickable link).  Feel free to join us. We are all really nice and will be happy to take you under our wings.

P.S. If you start to get too many email notifications, click "stop following" in your groups - that normally takes care of most notifications.

We have a Survival Guide for Navy For Moms Newbie (clickable link). You'll find everything to get started. Videos, pdf files of boot camp processing days, links to all the important groups plus tips on how to use this site. Best part is it'll be here on your very own page as a reference. Click the MY PAGE tab on above menubar to access your page anytime - you should do it at least once a day to see if you have any postings on your comment wall (like this one). Good luck.

BunkerQB,
