Hi Elizabeth! So glad you wrote back! We aren't allowed to give last names on the blog.posts that everyone can see for security reasons so I'm going to delete your comment. Don't be offended. I don't want someone to comment to you to delete it. I will write to you in an email. We can give names there as it isn't accessible to the public. Check your email as I'm going there right now!!!

Hi Elizabeth and welcome! My son is also in Div 229 with PIR 6/26. I can't remember if you have been on our group site yet, but if not, come join us! I know there is one for PIR 6/19 and there is one for PIR 6/26 (of course I'm in the 6/26 one). If you need to find our group, just click on my name and then click on "PIR 6/26 group" which is listed under "my groups" on my page. Perhaps our boys know each other! We can compare notes. I'm sending a friend request to you now.

Elizabeth -

If you haven't already you should introduce yourself by posting a quick blog. You can talk about yourself and your sons so other moms can get to know you :) Just keep OPSEC in mind (there's a post on the main page about it) so you don't reveal too much! You'll find lots of other moms who can answer your questions and be your support system as your sons go through their Navy careers.

Hi Elizabeth, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley, has been in the Navy since July 2007 and is an IT. What will your son/daughter be doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your Sailor. Pat

Welcome aboard!!

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

Please let me know if you have any questions I can help you with.
