I would think that would be the best thing to do. They are going to be out until Nov. So no hurry moving to VA. I have two sons going to be stationed in VA, Different boats. but same base.

hi there - I replied to your post in the group, but since I can't send you a PM message yet, I need to leave the message here as well.

Please go back and either delete or edit your post to remove the date. As USN pointed out it is not allowed to discuss specific dates on the open forum. I will give some time for you to edit the post, otherwise I will need to delete it as the admin of the group. Not trying to be hard-nosed, just needed to keep the ship safe.

Hi, my name is Donna. I have a son that is also an MM and just finished a-schhol. He will also be going the USS Bataan in Aug. Looks like our guys are going to be together. My sons name is John, he's a young 20 year old that is a wise old man. Are you in VA yet? John will be comming home for a few days then has to report. I would think they will be flying them out to the ship soo after they report. Can't wait to hear from you.

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
