- Hi,
I live in Michigan now but grew up in Wickliffe and could walk down Rush Rd to Dino's III. I saw your post and my parents are still up the street and keep tabs on their grandson. My son will PIR 11/13/09 and then go to A school (for corpsmen school) right there at GL - so he will be in area for another 14 weeks. Am hoping he'll have 2 weeks off when the GL base closes down to come home for Xmas and then we will drive to my mom's house. I was wondering if you all were having any get togethers from Dec20 -Jan. 2 in case we are in town at the same time and your DEPer might want to chat with my son about how boot camp went since he will just have graduated on Nov13.

JenGen said… - Hi, My son is currently in Monterey. He's been there since late Aug., but just started classes 3 weeks ago. He absolutely loves it there. Quite a bit going on. This weekend a group of friends are heading up to san fran to see the carriers and a sub come in for liberty. He's pretty excited. (I guess it's a big thing.) Anyway, I'm in Grafton. Just south of Elyria.
