Dear Chris,
I'm thinking of maybe volunteering somewhere on the weekends.
The only thing is, I'm now disabled, so I can't go to a gym, and I do have limitations even for volunteer work. I e-mailed a hospital about volunteering, I'm waiting to hear from them. Traveling is so difficult now for me. I can no longer drive. My wings were clipped two years ago! HAHA! I do miss my independance. Oh well.

I can't work anymore, and I do miss it a lot. I was a medical assistant, licened phlebotomist/ EKG teachnian for many years.

I don't have to get up early anymore, my kids are on their own waking up. My life now is on the Navy for moms. Many mornings, I'm here writing until
4 AM. Then I get up at 11 AM, watch the Steve Wilkos TV show, then come back on here. That's it. That's why I say my life is so boring!! HAHA!!

I should go out more often, but it's so boring just walking around alone.
My big thrill is if my girlfriend down the street calls me for coffee. HAHA!

Let me get going. Stay well.
Take care and God bless,
Your friend,
Barbara

Dear Chris,
How wonderful about Jesse and his wife coming in November,
That's great that they take turns with the family. I write to one mom, I feel so bad, She hears from her son all the time. But he always goes to his girlfriends parents, never hers.

I'm doing good, I'm enjoying the cooler weather. I am so not a summer person !! HAHA!

How your classes doing? Did you find out about going to another teacher that has the same course?

Not much else going on here. Same old thing. I have to find something to do on the weekend. My husband never gets off the computer, and my daughter is always watching football and base ball games. I slept to entire day yesterday. Nothing else to do! UGH!

Let me get going.
You stay well.
Take care and God bless,
Your friend,
Barbara

Dear Chris,
It's better that you withdrew from the class, Ask at the office if there's another teacher that does the same course. The teacher is the one who can either make or break the student. If your not clicking with the teacher, you'll struggle in the class.

Your husband goes on business trips. I guess it's a nice break, sometimes, just having the house to yourself. I'm so used to being alone all day, that when my husband is home, he's in my way!! HAHA!!

If he ever retired, I think I'd kill him.! HAHA! Maybe I can off with temporary insanity!! HAHA! I enjoy his company, but I can't do what I want, go on the computer. I can't do much of anything else now a days. HAHA!!

Let me get going. Time to make dinner.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara

Dear Chris,
How wonderful about the family reunion. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself and had a save trip back home. I know, your son couldn't keep you company. Don't you feel so loved!! HAHA!! My kids do the same to me. My older daughter tells me I'm a pain in the butt,.That's so nice to know.

Not much going. The weekends are so boring here. My older daughter watched football from 1 PM to 7 PM, and my husband had the computer all day and night. I never get the computer until after 11 PM.

Let me get going. STay well.
Take care and God bless,

Dear Chris,
How was your hectic day? HAHA! I don't miss those days! UGH!
Years ago, Tuesday was my worst day. After working, I drove home picked my daughters up, one went to gymanastics the other sign language, same time, opposite sides of the Bronx, where I live. Thank God I drove!
Everynight, after work, there was some running around to do.

I don't miss it! HAA! Then Friday, that was another dilly. My son and I were both in the Sea Cadets. I brought my uniform to work and got dressed there. My boss always salute me! HAHA! The sea Cadets is a Military youth organization. Then the search for my son, that was fun. Sometimes I found him. And racing off to the church where the meetings were.

I'll let you get going. Don't go too crazy! HAHA! I know, easy said then done.! HAHA!
Take care and God bless.

Dear Chris,
Fromm your mouth to God's ear! HAHA! Thank you so much for your prayers. David is an handful. I just don't have the heart to throw him into the streets. You know, I got in touch with the Steve Wilkos TV show. I adore that man!! I did get a response, but I wrote back, that I'm going to hold off for now. I forgot David is on probation with the courts, and he needs to have random blood work, and weekly rehab counseling. So I can't take a chance of him being put away in a sleep over rehab in another state, where Steve Wilkos would send David.

It's one thing if David gets arreested of something he did. It's another thing on getting arrested for not showing up what's court mandatated, while getting help! HAHHA!

Let me run, dinner is almost ready.
Take care and God bless,
Your friend,
Barbara

Dear Chris,
You're good! I'm such a fool, I don't have the heart to throw David into the streets. He was put away for a year, in a residential home for troubled boys. It was a plea bargain in the courts. He was facing 2-6 years for graffitti arrests.
When he came home last Novemeber, I wrote up a 7 rule contract and had it notorized. He has broken every rule. I have told him to move out, none of his friends parents will let him in. He has gotten arrested 4 more times, since last November. He added some spice to this. He upgraded to shop lifting. Him and his friends, over $3,000 worth of merchandise. He spent a week in jail, and was released Instead of being convicted, the judge put him on a year probation, big deal!

All I ask of him is to stay out of trouble, go to school and find a job. I don't think it's that horrible a deal. As far as I know of, he has been going to school. He has been keeping out of trouble, or at least hasn't been caught! HAHA! He has been looking for work. During the summer, he did yard work , since he couldn't find work.

I did try to get David into Job Corp. That would get him a GED diploma and he'd learn a trade. Job Corp goes by the parents income, he had to produce the W2 form.

Your right, Jesse's his wife's and the Military's problem.! HAHA! Sounds like he did wake up and get his life straighten out, good for him! I'm praying my stupid kid straightens his life out.

We all have those real long apron strings!! HAHA!! You want to laugh, I found out where that saying came from. Last year my older daughter, God daughter, their fiends, and I went on vocation. We were on a tour fin a house from 1692.
Since life was all manual labor, the mother's were too busy between farm work, housework and laundry, the only way they could keep the young children out of trouble and close at hand, the children were tied on the mother's long arpon strings.
I had my run away kids on a harness, do you know I was threatened by neighbors that they'd call child welfare!!

I told them, I'd rather have my kids on the harness, then running loose and get hit by a car. People don't see it that way. Child abuse, can you beleive that.
My kids ran in different directions, they're close in age. You remember the terrible twos. Where I live, we don't have sidewalks, so everyone walks in the streets. I didn't need my two years and three year old running ahead of me. and some car hit them on the side roads.

Let me get going. You stay well.
Take care and God bless,
Barbara
