Yes, I got my first letter on Thursday. It was so exciting. He's having a hard time with being homesick (which is not like him) but he said it's getting better each day. Have you gotten your letter yet?

I'll be flying in on the 24th and won't come back until the 30th. We are staying at the Residence Inn in Waukegan. What are your travel plans?

Hey, sweetie! How funny that we both independently joined this site! And now you are my FRIEND... Ha! I meant to tell you this morning that we received a letter as well, and that he sounds GOOD! I try to send something off each day, and yesterday's card with Bill's comments just about put me over the edge... what a devoted dad. He is so proud. And it was great to read and re-read Stu's letter... I laughed when I read that he is in charge of organizing the cleaning closet and such! He's always been my go-to guy to organize my kitchen pantries... something I could never do but he seemed able to handle from grade school. Anyway, thanks for linking us up and we are looking forward to Sunday when we can all have dinner and make plans to see our boy graduate... whoooo-hooooo! Love you, honey!

hey kayana.. that's cute how you and stuart got started.. i remember feeling like julian was way out of my league when i met him, that he'd never like me.. turns out he thought the same about me too :) I know how tough it is being away from him while he's in boot camp, but you're right. You will make it through!! And once you do, it will feel SO GOOD! Just make sure you're writing writing writing to him every single day! Seriously it is the BEST thing you can do, to write to your man and send him all of the love and support you can because that is truly what he needs most. Trust me, telling him that you miss and love him will NEVER get old, no matter how many times you write it. They are so closed off from the world that you could write him ANYTHING and it would be gold to him.. just tell him about your days.. tell him what you're looking forward to doing with him.. but most of all tell him that you MISS AND LOVE HIM AND YOU'RE PROUD OF HIM. I used to do little creative things to send with letters too, to break up the monotony of it all.. so if you need any ideas let me know! And I COMPLETELY know what you mean by it feeling like you've know each other for so much longer than you actually have. Julian and I have known eachother a year and a half (tomrorow!) and have been together for about a year.. and we already cant wait to get married (we're saying sometime in 2010.) and it feels like we've known eachother our whole lives. It's amazing how love can make you feel huh?! -- Anyway CONGRATS on your phone call (how good did that feel!?) and go try to find groups for his ship and div# so you can talk to girls who are going through exactly what you're going through right now! But it's also great to talk to those who are a step or two ahead of ya to give you advice and support, because girl we've been through it and know how you feel! Anyway.. I'll stop rambling (haha you'll learn fast that i talk a lot!) and hopefully hear back from you soon! Take care! :)
