Thank you Kelis. I can't remember what or where I posted that...I just sent him a 5 page hand written letter about some important business. You think they'll conficate it too? It's in a regular white envelope, and just hand written letter with a copy of some business that I wanted him to know I took care of for him...I hope they let him read it, it's important!

I checked the group listings, and there's a Massachusetts Moms group; I'm in the Indiana Moms group. There's a lady in my area that has planned the Olive Garden dinners for the 3rd Monday of the month. There also someone who plans an Indiana Moms meet and greet; it's a couple of hours from Indianapolis and the same night Mary is coming home, so I can't attend that event. If you join your state group, you might see if anyone has events going. I checked and couldn't find anything for Massachusetts Moms' events, but maybe there's something in the works. If you find other moms in your area, that might be a way to connect and meet for dinner. I hope you are able to connect with moms in your area; even if there aren't that many, so what? I think four of us responded that we can attend tomorrow, and I figure that's three new friends I'll be meeting. Talk to you soon.

Hi Lisa! Your daughter is lovely. It looks like we may have joined N4M about the same time. My daughter is in the NROTC program at Texas A&M in Galveston; we live in Indianapolis. Right now she is in Norfolk, VA for summer naval training. She is my only child, so it does get difficult sometimes because she is so far away. She will be home the end of June and won't have to return to Galveston until the middle of August. My husband and I can't wait to see her. Like you, I am so glad for this group; there's so much support. In fact, tomorrow night I'm going to the Indy Westside N4M dinner at Olive Garden, and I can't wait to meet the other members. I hope you talk to your daughter soon.

Lisa-Yes I went to Burncoat High, a long, long time ago. Graduates in 1979. Our families may know each other. I have many sisters and two brothers so we were at Burncoat from 1977-1996 ish. You can private message me if you like with their name and I'll see if I regonize it.

I've only gotten the form letter from Kirstin. However, she did call me yesterday morning; It was a call for information only for her background check before she could go to A school. It was so good to hear her voice. She did say that they were just starting bootcamp and that they had been doing Processing until then. I do know that for the girls they do have to wait for a "dorm" or whatever they call it is full before starting them in a DIV.

Hi Lisa,
So glad to meet another mom with a daughter in Div 258. I also met Vicky whose daughter is in the same division. My daughter is Brittany, The only call I have received so far is the one that came at 1:30am the day she left. It was very short, but good to hear her voice. I got her form letter today which had a short note at the bottom..she made me laugh and smile...so I guess she is doing pretty good. I feel like you do...can't wait to hear he voice and get a letter from her. I am holding up better than I thought I would, but I sincerely believe it is because of this website and the support it gives. I will keep Kelly and you in my prayers and look forward to hearing from you soon. I am hear for you...hang in there. Keep me posted on when you hear from Kelly.

I talk to Kelly all the time now which is great :) she is doing very well at A school and has adjusted well to her new Navy life .... She always sounds very happy with her biggest complaint boredom ....She has made Many new friends and has much more freedom now ...Looking forward to her coming home when she finishes school even if it is for a short time ..... Off to Great Lakes

Hi All
Well we are leaving for Chicago in an hour to see Kelly Graduate on Friday :) I am very excited to see my Sailor !! We are driving so we will get there sometime late tomorrow afternoon ..Please pray for a safe trip for all of us as this is the longest drive we have ever made ...Thank you all ...I'll let you know how how trip went we'll be home Monday afternoon sometime ........................
