Hi: thanks for the comment. Natalie was supose to reenlist last year in Guam but it was put off...but we were in Guam at the time.
So you are not a "new" Navy Mom either. Did you say your daughter has been in for 4 1/2 years? It would have been nice to have this site years ago!!!

Well, I'm glad you finally did make it here. The site came about just after my son graduated from boot camp. I agree, it would have been wonderful to have support through the entire experience but at least we have N4Moms now.

Karen, thanks for the compliment on my page. I've had a good experience being on the site. It's been so helpful throughout our Navy experience.

Good morning. I am a mother of a single mom. I had her sons, my grandsons when she was in A school. It was hard for them and for her. There were days that she called crying because she missed them. I just told her to remember they were being taken care of, they were happy, they missed her. I reminded her that she was doing this for all of their futures. I knew it was hard for her but it wouldn't be much longer before she got to see them again. Just say what is in your heart to your daughter. She needs it now. I always told my daughter that we were very proud of her and what she was doing. She is about to be deployed and is in Mississippi right now before getting deployed but her sons are at their other grandparents this time. Like I said, just say what is in your heart and things should be fine. Welcome to the group.

Hi & welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy for 2 years and is an IT3 & my son Tim (19) has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz. What is your son/daughter doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your Sailor. Pat
