From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
That my son has matured and makes me prouder everyday. He has a plan and that's a good thing.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Karen,
Always good to hear from you... That is so nice that Raymond can email you OORRAAH.. Luis likes his job so far and loves NC but he is now on the run to get a car... He needs to be able to move around since he has to get a place for his wife and his dog. I am sure he will be getting a bit anxious soon... Please be sure to say hello to Raymond on behalf of My family and myself... ttyl... God Bless

Hi again,
I forgot to answer your question... Yes, I do speak to him often. I have been blessed for now... He calls almost every other night. I spoke to him the night before Raymond left and try telling him about Raymond being deployed but he already new... He and Raymond stay in touch...You know? It's hard for me to write about Raymond using his first name since I know him by his last but that is the rule hear...LOL..just find it awkward... When I talk to my son I use his last name and when I write to you I use his first... Well, at least I will always know his full name...LOL..

Oh Karen my prayers are with Raymond... He and Luis both have Administrative duties...Actually Luis was suppose to be SP as well but they switched that on him at BC... He is doing well. They PT everyday and he likes his job... He will soon be looking for housing for him and his wife...I posted on our group site.. He has two aunties that live 15 min from base.. They will be trying to help him and they have invited him tonight for a home cooked meal...
About Raymond and communicating: Please don't get worried or discouraged.. Sometimes it is hard for them to communicate from out there..My nephew Terry has been there for 5 years now and communication while at sea was little to none... He says reception and internet is not that good out there for them... I hope this is not the case with Raymond but I just needed you to know this so you don't worry...

Hi Karen,,, A big welcome and a big hug my dear... Wow... It's so nice to see you here... I got goose bumps when I saw your post....Raymond... is Luis' best friend in there... I am sure they have stories to tell... The one time at A school there was a huge bug about 5" long and 3" wide..My son came accross this insect and yelped like a girl...He called your son for back up just in case this thing bit him he could get medical help...LOL.. they are so funny... Luis was very, very sad to know that A school was the end of their journey for now... I had the honors to be with Raymond at the airport for 7 hours... He is a very respectful and fine young man... God Bless him and tell him Luis' mom "says hello and thank you for serving."
