Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
i have to let him go and live HIS life. I have since learned..patience and a "longing"that is hard to bare. I believe in him though! He has grown, and I now share my son with the Navy and our country. Also want to now add, How PROUD I am of my New Marine son!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Linda, well, my son 's GITMO/Nicaragua deployment has been put on hold, and instead his orders are to go to Gulfport for 60 or so days, and then to go to afgahnastan, total of 440 days it says on the orders. He is leaving the day after Thanksgiving for Gulfport. He will probablly not be home for Christmas. I am really sad about that, its the first time our family will not be together for Christmas. I asked him if he knows your son and he said he has seen your son, but he does not know him. Did you say that your son was going to Gulfport in mid-January?

Morning!

Wow! Your are such a strong lady! I hope your sons both do well! I will cross fingers and toes! Say all my prayers! Your pictures are great! You must b so proud of your boys!!! Seems like not too long ago we were just starting out!

Mine is headed out...less than a day. I think they will do the around the SA tour. He has been away from base for a few months and won't be back for a few months. This is probablythe longest we gone without seeing him. On the other hand, our family has been lucky with Bryan being stationed so close to home. It will be a nice homecoming!! Ad then the commissioning of the ship! All in all this has been an extremely wonderful experience.

How have you been feeling? I hope all is going well!
Take care!
Kimberly

Hi Linda, My son graduates from Ft. Leonardwood in July and I was planning on making the trip to see him but he said the graduation ceremony is only 30 minutes and he said he most likely would get to come home after before heading to his next duty station, do you have information you could share.
