Leaving ones you love is so hard. When I moved from KS to be with my husband in MD (where we were stationed before VA) it was so hard to leave my church family. They were more my family then my blood and I had found them in a time of much need. I understand exactly what you are saying. Saying good bye to those who mean so much regardless of who they are is a very hard and emotional thing. I think its wonderful your husband will be working on base with the chaplains. I am also sure you will find a job :) Good luck too! Its hard to leave a place that is good to you. However, you are doing an amazing thing for your kids and grandbaby. Its selfless and awesome. It will all work out and be ok. Its just getting there I am sure. Please know that I am here if you need anything :)

Ljiron, when you get to Norfolk, make sure that your family has added you to their FRG groups. The Truman group is very active and a great network of support. Also if you need anything let me know, I am in VA beach so not to far away :) How old is the grandbaby? My youngest is 4 months old. Our oldest is 8 :)

Ljiron it's breaking my heart just thinking about it. I'm a grandmom and a mother of a sailor who's on the Nimitz. I can't even imagine what all of you are going through.............I will pray for you and your children while they have face the most difficult moment in their life. I don't know how strict their ships are but they might be able to see each other and the baby on ther webcam. I know that in Jonathan carrier you can't because sicurity is very tight and it's a NUKE. Please lee me know if there is anything I can do for you. May God Bless your family.......Grazi(sicilia)
