Oh wow!! I'm gone for 2 weeks && all of this talk happens without me?!! Welcome to all the newbies! Just wanted to say hello. I don't have much time right now, so I have to go back & read all the post I missed later. It looks like I have a lot to...

Profile Information

About me:
I'm a full time college student && I work part-time.
My boyfriend just graduated from The Great Lakes PIR July 17, 2009!!!
He is now at A School here in California. So, I'm glad he's back in California with me!! :)
I grew up in northern california, but now reside in southern california.
My boyfriend and I met in 3rd grade, had a crush on each other, and were best friends...we started talking again about 4 years ago, but didn't make our relationship official until July 1st, 2007. We have a looong history.
I'm really proud of him, but nervous since we already don't get to see each other much because of our long distance relationship (he still lived in northern cali while I'm in southern cali).

I go to college at UC Irvine as a Drama Major.
I graduated from my previous college as a double honor student, an officer of Phi Theta Kappa (International Honor Society), && currently have 3 degrees under my belt :)
I am here to support or represent my:
Spouse/Significant other
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
that my boyfriend && I can get through anything together, as long as we continue to work together. I found that writing letters was very important for him && very therapeutic for myself. I believe that the Navy lifestyle will be a difficult and exciting one, but we will go through the journey together.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Darlene......I'm so sorry about your camera but SO excited about your happy news! Congrats to you both!

That is so cool that you got to meet Spencer......sorry you missed Sam, she's a hoot. They managed to delete all the pictures on the camera so those are lost as well.....boohoohoo, sad Navy mom! Oh well, life goes on.

Yep, Spencer is tall: 6'5" so is his dad and sister is 5'10"....I'm the short one at 5'7", lol. Thanks for the pictures! You guys are so dang cute, what a beautiful couple!!! Talk to you soon..........enjoy the apartment at school and study hard! :-)

Thanks for your post. Going to the Navy Ball will be wonderful!! What are you going to wear? I hope you'll post a photo. Do you work, go to school? I am sure it must be difficult with your bf in the navy and far away!
Do you like to read? I am reading the Twilight series - and it is so awesome! Certainly helps take my mind off Craig being in bootcamp - thinking about gorgeous vampires - lol.
I would imagine your bf will be at DLI for a while - hope he and Craig will connect when Craig gets there. Craig graduates from boot camp on Oct. 16th - not sure when he leaves for CA.

Kyle is in Pensacola for IT. He started classes last week. Yeah..no holding. He should be in classes about 2 months. He loves P'cola. It's more like home to him. We live close to the beach and that's what he is used to.

I understand your feelings! My husband travels and is often away for a night or two every couple of weeks. He has to entertain customers sometimes too. It makes me crazy sometimes. So I do get it. LOL I just remind myself that he comes home to me and is doing all this for us. And then it's a little easier to swallow. :o) Just make sure when you hang up he knows how much you love him and trust him. And he won't hurt you. Trust is very important. Jealousy is an ugly emotion. Don't ever let it win. I think it's sweet that your voice puts him to sleep. That's a compliment and a testamony to yalls love. Try to change the view of things and look for the good in everything. It helps me to do that. Take care. :o) You are a strong and mature woman. Don't get high school on him. LOL

Hang in there girl. You know how he cares for you. I know it's tough when he goes out but they tend to be really busy so it's ok for them to unwind sometimes. Don't let it get you down. :o)

Wow okay that's really helpful! Thank you so much! I'm excited to go see him but we decided to stay at a hotel near downtown instead so it will be a lot easier for me to get to and from the hotel and airport. How was your trip to see your boyfriend?

Thought I'd write a note but my dialup is not wanting to work tonight. I live 12 miles from the nearest postoffice and 40 miles from shopping so we don't get the good internet out here. Wish Robert a HAPPY BIRTHDAY from "B"s family. Glad to hear your going back to school, that is the best life insurance you can buy. While Robert is getting his training you can finish up. Don't know what you want to do with drama but don't forget that its always wise to get your education hours as electives and when you have a family it is the best. By the way, bake him a bunch of cookies or a cake and just enjoy him.
