Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To just keep breathing!! Hahaha! Oh yeah, and "hurry up and wait!"
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
I am a widow, mom to 3 great boys, 20, 17, and 12. I am an LPN, and have just started RN school. My son will PIR 8/21/09 and I can't wait to see him again!

Hi girls, my son is still in GL, one more week to go, has a cold for the second time. He can hardly wait to go to Coronado finally. Hope all is well with all your sailors.

My son has his T-giving flight, but still no definate 'yes.' Yes says when ever he asks they say, basicaly, "don't bother me." I'm just having faith that it will all work out. He is really homesick. I'm sick for him to come home! In case it didn't...

Lynn, as much as I miss you, I am just glad to talk to you at any time. I have so much respect and admiration for you. You are one of my heroes. How are the boys and your dad? Where and how is Ronnie? Sorry you had to see the bs in the pre-buds. That woman ticked me off. I have a lot of patience, but HOW RUDE!
I hope you are finding time to take care of Lynn too. You soooo deserve it.

Hey Lynn, No I havent heard from Craig yet...it really sucks...I miss him so much! I have sent a letter everyday though and if he is allowed to get mail yet he is not home sick LOL...I am sure that with all the basic family stuff I have told him about he feels like he is here....I have been having trouble with my internet so here is my email (which I can check via cell phone) chell911gurl@yahoo.com...please send me an email so I can have yours...I dont know how long my internet will last this time LOL

Well Craig left two days ago and my heart is hurting bad! I dont think I could have done this with out yours and alot of others support! Thank you for being there for me...I know I will feel better soon....Just not today :(...I miss talking to you...I hope to chat soon so we can catch up

Lynn..that is great news!! You have every right to be this proud. You're going to love graduation, it's such an amazing experience with so many proud parents anxiously waiting to see their Sailors. I'm getting misty eyes just remembering all the emotions I felt back then. You did a good job, hug your Sailor. Well done Mom :)

Hey girlie, your "zombies" comment on Kim's page cracked me up! My hubby swears I took that attitude when we encountered a Bear on the trail while hiking in Idaho several years back! He swears I tried to push him down, I maintain I just pushed OFF as I turned to RUN! LOL

So, you are on the final leg of the journey! Wow. I hope the last few weeks have gone fast. Have you received the "I'm a Sailor" call yet, I'm assuming he has gone, or is going, through BS by today!? Just wanted to drop in and leave a BIG ((HUGGG)) and good wishes for safe travel. Has anyone mentioned the toll booths too you yet? Be sure your Group members have plenty of spare change on board, there's a lot of them on the way into GL from ChicagoAlso, do purchase the Metra $5 pass to to avoid having to drive back in-and park- in Chicago. More quality time spent with your Sailor and not stuck in awful traffic!

OH, bring binoculars if you have them, it can be hard to see individual faces from afar and they all look alike! If I don't hear from you by tomorrow, have a wonderful time at your Group's Meet and Greet AND PIR, can't wait to hear all about them both. You and Kim be sure to give each other an extra big squeeze from me and all the Moms on the DEPPers Group! Don't be strangers now! =)
