As a group, we would like to adopt a group of sailors and send letters and/or packages. I think we N4M could make a big difference in some sailors lives if all of us would just write one letter (you can do more if you want)

Hello Melynda,

How are you doing since your son left for BC? I haven't been on N4M in a couple of months, had too many things going on to spend much time on the computer.

I hope your son is doing well at Great Lakes.

It is tough on us as parents; but he will do great and you will be SOOOOO PROUD of him when he graduates. I was amazed at the change in my son after just 8 weeks. I almost could not contain my joy at how much he had matured.

Will you be able to attend PIR? I hope so, it is a very special time.

Hope to hear from you soon. I plan to stay in touch more often now that things are not so hectic.

Hi Melynda,
My son also signed up for Submarine Duty. He is going to school in CT. I am thinking about my son every day. I just got his address and division and am going out to get him a calling card ASAP and sending it to him. I want to hear his voice so bad. I want to know everything that he is doing and going through for the next couple of months as much as I can. I'm here is you need to talk.
Talk to you soon,
Alba ;o)

Hi Melynda,
Welcome, It's nice to meet you. I'm not going to lie and say it's going to be easy when it's time for your Son to leave..Because it's not..or it wasn't for me. My son got mad with me a couple of times, lol..because I would start crying if or when he and I were hanging out..He used to work off shore, any where from two Weeks to a Month..and that did not bother me because he was always back home within that time frame. But this is not even close the that kind of time frame. I do keep a Journal and write to him every morning when I get off work and in the evening before I go back to work. I miss my Son so very much..My boys are my Oxygen !! : )
I wish you and your son the best of Luck..I'm also here if you ever need to chat. You take care...have a wonderful Weekend.

Your new Friend,
Eddie's Momma
