Waiting to leave for Boot Camp
Hi!
I'm a new member to this web site and this is my first post.
My daughter will be leaving for boot camp on December 7th. 18 days' before the biggest family holiday! Perhaps I'm being selfish but I know already that I will have a big hole in my heart when she leaves, add to the fact that it will be around a major hoilday, I probably will be blubbering mess!
I have read and re-read so many blogs by many parents who have had a child waiting, currently in or just completing boot camp. It is so… Continue

- I have a few new ones but I am working on getting a whole album together to download-of Heathr's visit.I am going through the pictures and picking out the ones that I think would be great.The workouts are very important-I am glad to see that she joined a bootcamp gym.Make sure toward her going that she can run her 1.5 miles under 15 minutes. Maybe let her do it in the warm and cold weather so she will adjust for the weather up there.That is one of her test that she will have in bc.

- only 4 can go-but for kids that age you might want to check but I really don't know why they couldn't go-it's not like they will take alot of room.You will get all the PIR information about 3 weeks into bc.

- Welcome to Navy for Moms! You will love this site and you will get alot of support.What program is your daughter doing? I have a daughter in the Navy and she loves it-makes lots of new friends-going places-getting really great on the job training. I couldn't see her doing anything else.If your daughter goes in with a possitive attitude -the will to learn -then she will be just fine.She will learn real fast the "Do's" and the "Don'ts".Heather didn't take all the stuff on the list.She took a real small backpack-she worn jeans and a t-shirt and brought an extra shirt-the travel size toothpaste-deoderant-travel tooth brush-No electronic stuff.The night that they go to the hotel before leaving-we met Heather at the hotel with 2 of her friends-took her to dinner-went back to the hotel and hung out there until about 9P.M. took lots of pictures.The least that she can carry the better off she will be-they will send it all back.They sent back Heather's clothes and back pack-She got to keep the travel size stuff.If you have any other questions please ask-that is what we are here for. Check out my page and pictures-I hope it will help you out.You can make it a great adventure as well as your child's-your trick when she leaves is to stay busy-get involved in your hobbies.
