Thanks Colleen!  I am very interested in keeping up with this site and seeing all that will be happening.  My son has just joined up with the USS Higgins.  He is career Navy.  This is still another new experience for us as parents.

Thanks so  much for all your info, your introduction and your welcome. I am completely new to this whole Navy, military thing although my third son graduated from the Coast Guard over two years ago. I'm not a big traveler and my husband is disabled so I'm a lttle nervous about this trip to Chicago for my second son's June 21st graudation , though I wouldn't miss it for the world.

Sorry it took so long feel like I am running around in a million directions trying to get everything taken care of before we leave and forces keep working against me. But all will be fine!
Anyway, Yes we are flying in. Our plane leaves the BIG city in the wee ours of the morning 0640, and we live way out in the country so we will have to wake the rooster up!! Lol I think we land bout 0900. Then we are staying until Sunday the 26th, our plane leaves at 0740. My husband likes to book them early!! Lol can't wait to meet y'all and thank you personally for all your help.
