Comment Order On Blogs Reversed

Due to popular demand, I've switch the order of comments on Blogs back to the old setting. Comments will now appear in chronological order - so you can read them in the order they were posted (much easier).

Still working on the page number issue - I think it's obvious from all the feedback I've received that everyone prefers the old format much better (myself included). Let's keep our fingers crossed that Ning listens to us!

Noticed some changes to N4M? Here's why...

What a hectic few weeks it's been! Ning, the company who hosts this site and handles the "technical" side of things, has been releasing lots of changes to their networks including Navy For Moms. I wanted to share with you everything they have announced and would love to hear your opinion in the comments section below. Here we go...

Private messages now have an increased character limit. This means you'll have more room to write your PM without having to send a second message to continue… Continue

USPS Military Holiday Mail Deadlines: Make Sure You Send Your Package Out In Time!

Hey everyone!

I know that many of you are sending out care packages and letters to your loved ones for the holidays. To ensure that whatever you mail out reaches your Sailor or Officer in time, please be sure to send it out by the deadline specified by the USPS.

Cut off dates begin on November 13th, depending on the shipping method you chose and your Sailor/Officer's location.

You can find a full list of deadlines within a news release the USPS just posted last week here:… Continue

Ning Gift Store Application To Be Removed

A few weeks ago I posted a blog about the Gift Store Application potentially being removed. After being reviewed by the Navy, a decision has been made to move forward with removal.

The Navy can't accept money - nor were they- but they didn't want you to believe they were somehow making money off of N4M members. As we currently can't chose to only offer free gifts or control the cost of gifts that w… Continue

Elle,
I created two formats to organize a Master 2010 Calendar for Meet & Greets. The calendar is tentative. I am still waiting for dates to be filled. The 8.5x14 calendar is done using Excel. The table format using MS Publisher. Files sent to you are in pdf format.

Hi Elle, I agree about this new set of buttons at the bottom of each page directing to "first, previous, last, etc". It's very hard to use. I ended up back in 2008 in a split second when I hit one of the buttons a few times. .All I was trying to do was go back two pages. Then I had to get out of the group and get back in to find my way back to the current page. I'd love the old numbers back.

Thanks for letting me know...but I am having a real problem with the Previous page, etc. thing instead of numbers...is that going to be permanent? It really is hard to know which to use. Just wanted you to know...don't bother emailing me back...you have much more to do elsewhere.

Hey Elle,
Since you were asking just wanted to say I really don't like the page thing - I liked having numbered pages - easier to read back 5 or 6 pages. Hope all is going well.
