i have a question concerning the MA position. i was at meps yesterday and they told me my vision was what disqualified me, corrected vision of 20/15 and 20/25 so i could not have that position. i am getting my bachelors degree in criminal justice and really want be an MA (reserves while in school). i ended up in the AECF and the classifier didnt know much about this area but for some reason i picked it. im in dep and set to ship out in jun 09. is there anything i can do to become an MA or get another job, because i know that i will not like working in the AECF. any info is appreciated.

How would one find out who to talk to if there are problems at a base, (stateside) if I wanted someone to talk to?

Hi, If one who has just graduated from A school, has there orders for their next duty station can they leave after graduating or must they wait for their plane reservations? In other words if they graduate and are just waiting for their travel papers can they go ahead, make their own reservations and leave?

I received a phone call from Bruce yesterday and he told me that he has passed Battlestations! so now he say's he is an official Navy Sailor! he told me that he had a problem with wetting the bed a couple of times, he was told by his division leader that if it happens again they could kick him out, can they do that? it doesn't seem right because if he has passed everything than something like that shouldn't matter, right?

Bruce is suppose to have his PIR this Friday (22nd), but I have not heard anything from him, I got a letter two weeks ago, but he didn't mention anything about PIR, I know he has Battlestations this week so he might be too busy to call, but I need to know something. it has been almost 8 weeks and he never called me. would you be able to find out for me? I have already made my travel arrangements for Great Lakes. Thanks!

Hello, well today is Wednesday and I didn't receive a letter from Bruce ( I am a little sad about that), I guess he has been really busy with the rest of his training, his PIR is suppose to be next week on the 22nd so I hope nothing is wrong.

New question please, just heard the term...blue/green.

I may not have that exactly right but it is a sailor that transfers to the Army (?) Is this a common practice? If an A school sailor (not mine) is not happy in the Navy in general and struggling with their A school program...can they just switch to the Army??

Hello! I received a letter from Bruce today and he sounds good, he is not conjested anymore. he told me he is in 5-1 day and he told me that he did Marline Spike ( he explained what that was to me) and Thursday he did Live Fire and he qualified, he said now he get's a ribbon on his uniform (he is pretty excited about that) he also saidon day 6-5, they do BattleStations,he seems to be doing so much better and his attitude seems better also. he still has not told me if he will graduate on time.

I do have one more thought. All his dept is paid off. We took care of that when he was in BC. They are in touch with his creditors now. Will that make a difference. Or do they go by past credit?
