I messaged with the friend request but it only let me use 200 letters. So the week of jan 22 was Hell week for them. That is the week that Kyara said was her favorite. The shot guns and got ribbons for marksmanship if they were any good, (Kyara did). They had at least 3 inspections and she said they are all doing well on them. On the 26th they had pictures and drill inspection, she though they would do good on that. Oh and she ps'd that they have to wear sports bras everyday, lol. I had bought her $250 worth of cotton bras and sports bras and they sent them all back in her box. :( In the letter from sunday the 31st she said that this week they were doing damage control, firefighting and the gas chamber. All training to get them ready for battlestations next week. She didn't say what day battlestaions was. Hope this helps, and I hope your daughter writes soon. Karen

The first phone call I received was on a Tuesday afternoon, one day short of my son being there for 4 weeks. I received another one on Christmas, but it was a reward for something. It was short, but I thank my lucky stars because not everyone received a phone call that day. The phone calls are earned. Hang in there!! It will come!

I will get back to you on what to see in Chicago. My son has PIR on January 22nd. I am getting excited! We leave here two weeks from tomorrow! We're are going a day earlier than we need to to make sure that we are there on time!

Next time click on my little picture and leave the comment on my page. That way I can get back to you sooner!

Pinky, What a great welcome! Thanks so much :) My daughter left for boot 12/15. Last Wednesday I received my first written letter from her. I carry it in my purse all the time so I can read it when it starts to get to me. I thought I might have received a phone call by now, but nothing yet. When they do get to call, is it ususally on Sunday? I just can't wait to hear from her. I can tell in her letter that she has changed - and for the better. Her graduation is February 19th. What do you recommend we see in Chicago? Thanks again for the welcome - it made me smile.
