Hi Lisa, Just mailed out a box with regular clothes and a pair of sneakers for Mike. There is weapons training today, you are right. Hope they all have a safe and fun week-end. Peace!

Info on airports and places to stay in Great Lakes

Hi there,
My son should be graduating in October. Any suggestions on a good airport ( from Boston, MA) and hotels to stay in? Interested in your feedback. Anyone from the MA area with a son or daughter just stating boot camp?

Hi Pauline, I did send you an e-mail but wanted to add a comment here also. It would be great to keep in touch and try to meet up at graduation. We're staying at the residence Inn and I hear there is a meet and greet at Flanagan's restaurant the night before(??). The guys are in week 3 now so we should get their letter now. My son mentioned writing one at the bottom of that form letter, but "couldn't send it yet." Sorry no pic on my profile yet, to be honest I'm not sure how to do it... need to get my other son to help... he starts college on weds so it better be soon!

Nice to meet you Pauline. I live in Fitchburg, MA. My son is currently in Gulfport and will be deployed in January. His twin sister and I are having a difficult time thinking about that. That's why I joined the forum....I think I could use the support of other Navy moms, particularly those going through deployments or those who are already past that stage. Any advice from anyone is appreciated. I want to be the best support for him possible.
