I am in the process of joining the Pittsburgh Navy League, so I don't know what they will be up to in the near future. My son is on the Miami and is on an 8 month deployment. I will keep you posted as to what they plan for the Pittsburgh in the future.

Hi, Quilter. I saw your postings on N4M Daughters. It's good to have you with us. You certainly have a family that provides service to our country. Many thanks, both for your family's service and your support of them.

Actually, I have an ulterior motive in contacting you. Check out the "Heads at Ease" group. We are a group that makes pillowcases for deployed service personnel. We are always looking for an additional sewer.

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
My husband was in the navy during Desert Storm. I learned a lot about not worrying and staying happy with the little things of the moment I was in. It feels different & familiar watching my last 2 "babies" prepare themselves to leave home "for good.'' My husband I I look forward to traveling to visit them around the country & maybe around the world. I know they will grow in ways they can't imagine. I look forward to their adventure in the navy.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
