About me:
I am a single mom, especially even more so now, after the recruiter picked up my daughter ,Sun,8-3-08, to fly to Great Lakes Boot Camp the next day---I recvd a phone call that her father had passed away while in a hospital out of town and I had to contact at the hotel with the bad news before she reached the MEPS Center and boarded the plane with the help of the recruiter and liason staff. I also have a special needs daughter who is an adult with a long list of physical and mental health issues that makes her disabled and needs 24/7 care that I alone provide. She is also in a deep
struggle spiritually with demonic spirits. A few days after her
father's funeral she attempted suicide--I'm not going to inform
LeeTrina of that anytime soon, so she can focus on boot camp and then A sch. She worried enough already about me,
my health and welfare. I am in very poor health and she is trying to figure out all the things she deeds to do to get me added as her dependent at the end of boot camp(have any info to assist with that please inform).Just prior to her departure was an emotional time for us b/c of some serious
health probs for me ,as well as emotional, we were faced w/
me nearly having a stroke/learning I was carrying twins/mis-
carrying one,then a few weeks later the other. We decided to keep the twin info from my oldest and other family members
that might wouldI tell because of risk to my safety. I'm dis -abled also w/o income or insurance and one of the motivators for her joining the navy so I can have med coverage and get my meds like I should w/o worrying how I'm going to pay for the care I need. Have been unsuccessful for years to get SSI approved. She is also demanding that I be packing up to move by the time she comes home from A sch for leave b4 going to her duty station and I really don't want to do that yet .Now that her father's gone also makes me even more stubborn. I'm okay right now where I am, but she wants to do so many things to make my life better by her standards, not mine. I love for the thought but can't see living above our means The money can go so much farther by me staying put.
My only concern right now is getting my meds, med coverage,
and the surgeries done that I know about that's need now. I'm really so wrong about being non-cooperative in this moving.
Her bonus would be gone in a heartbeat and I want to avoid
that and have her later to regret that she did this b/c all the
financial details were not carefully worked out. She also wants to purchase me a brand new,reliable,dependable
vehicle as well when she comes home for leave after A sch.
Gotta love her just for the thoughts and heart's desires.

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was confused, Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To support her in her decision even if I didn't agree, and trying
not to let her know or let it show.To believe in her b/c she has
faith in herself that she can accomplish her goals in navy life.
To show enthusiasim to help her make it thru and comfort her
when she has a bump in the road or things don't turn out how
she had planned. Do my best not to have her worry about any-
going on at home, especially with her sister and rent.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer

I am still learning the workings of the internet, shan. Go to Pyzam a spot for picking up MySpace graphics, which you can pick up by using your cut and paste mode on your computer. Find the picture you want to post, click under it, then click where they tell you to click to pick up the pix. go to my Space or wherever you want to put it, and click paste on your computer. That should do it.I think you can get to Pyzam by clicking the cat. I have a sign with a cat hanging like this that says Lord Help Me Hang in There!
Is your daughter in ship 17? If so let me know if you need info or help. I see you have had a really rough time. I too am disabled, I lost my mom in Dece. and my Dad in Dece of 05.

I talked to B today. I told her to find your daughter and check on her. I you talk to her or write tell her Bridgette is the one passing meds. B went to legal Monday so is hoping for travel orders soon.

Shan,my daughter is also on ship 17. Let LeeTrina know to find her. Her name is Bridgette, she's been very strong through all this and has tremendious faith.She's also a very supportive person who enjoys having people to "take care of" she says it"s her thing I think it helps them to have people they can count on and talk to while they're there.
