Shyra, my daughter, Chelsea, is on the Stennis. She is an aerographer's mate. She gives pilots briefs about the weather. And I thought she was going to be a dancer or actress!

Hey Shyra, your daughter is a cutie! I can say this because I am the mom of 2 sons and never had that girl! How long has she been on the Stennis carrier? Did you know there is a space center (mostly used for test flights) named after John Stennis also? NASA operates it. Anyway, it's hard enough for a mom to have a son out of touch. I can't imagine what it's like for you and your daughter!

Have you check out the Parade of Lights in the Events section? It is in Fort Worth and some Navy for Mom's are riding in the parade.

My sailor son, Derek, is a MA (Master at Arms) - He just returned from three months in Kuwait and on oil platforms in the Persian Gulf. He is now stationed in Virginia.
