Guess I'll have to find the discussion! I'm not good at this computer stuff and sometimes it takes me a while to "get it" ! I would prefer the 8th, but the 1st would be okay, too. Let me know what I can do to help :)

Hi Gay. I would love your assistance. First we have to get the date nailed down. I posted a discussion earlier and put out the dates of 3/1 or 3/8. The most popular date will win...Then we'll go from there! :-) Thanks!

Oops...musta hit the wrong button. That's really great about Kevin getting a house and that area of the state is gorgeous. We lived in Bellevue, across Lake Washington from Seattle for a couple of years way back when... Got to Bainbridge a couple of times to see some friends of Charlie's from Germany and the Army who lived in Gig Harbor. Sean has only been w/ his ship for a couple of months. But he's been out on several short cruises w/ longer ones yet to come. We still have the longer times w/ sporatic news in the future. In a way we had some prep for that when he was working the previous 3 summers in NM as a Wilderness Guide, we had to make arrangements for visits before he would left Colorado in May and not return til August. He didn't have access to cell phones, internet nor email. That made dealing w/ getting paperwork, etc w/ the Navy a complication and further slowed down approvals from his recruiter on the East Coast. Wow, hadn't heard about Sean B now assisting w/ Greg in Utah. Did you know Amy, same age as Sean B...she's now a coach at Colgate in Upstate NY. Last I had heard, Sean was still at Penn State and Greg was in Arizona. I keep up w/ a couple of parents on AFAF, but not very often...usually it's to buy scrip.

Yes...Sean swam for Rampart w/ Kevin. That was the year that their team won Metro Champs at Cheyenne Mountain. That was such an exciting meet as I recall. So the pics I have for you were taken at an outdoor "last chance" club meet in Pueblo. I think it is of you and your folks. I'll try and find them again to have for you at the get together in Wheatridge. ; -) One of Terre's daughters (saw her at a meet at AFA) told me that Kevin was on a sub a couple of years ago, that's very kool. Sean is on a destroyer, USS Forrest Sherman. He is quite happy w/ his career and future opportunities. So many of his friends who also attended college at the same time as he, either can't find a job or they've been laid off. Pretty sad. Do you know whatever happened to Lori, Rampart's ass't coach? Did her son Tom make it into the Seals? Sean saw on Facebook that Ron-Rampart's coach, who left to be an ass't at U of Utah, has returned to coach somewhere in Colorado in the past year or so.

Thanks for your comment..It sounds like your son's sub is getting ready to leave..when they have long days without any breaks that means that they are on their way out..both crews are all on call when the sub is getting ready to depart..while the sub is out with the Blue crew my son is usually in school of some kind...that takes the place of duty and work...plus he is cross rated and has two titles to keep up on...

Yes it is so nice to know that my son has family where he is and most important is that my daughter-in-law's family loves him like we love her..it does take a lot of presure off of me...she actually pursued him..my Kevin keeps very much to himself and close friends...I am so thankful that she took the first steps....

Have you heard that there is going to be a get together for moms here in southern CO?..If you have not heard..I will keep you posted..I know that there is a get together on Feb. 21 in Wheatridge at a pizza parlor for CO moms..are you interested in going?..I want to go but my daughter just had a baby and the baby was put into the hospital last Tue with RSV and low oxygen intake..they are home now and if all goes well..I will be going..there is also another one in March but I don' know much about that one yet..I have been off the site for about a week..I am just catching up with all...

Talk to you later...

Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
You have to let them go. They are adults and it is their choice to make.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
