This is my sons 2nd deployment. He just received Blue Jacket of the Quarter for his division.
My son is on the Nimitz. This is his 2nd deployment. I look at it as he is getting to see parts of the world that I would have never been able to provide for him.

- I am a stay at home mother of a total of 6 kids. My oldest is 24 and my youngest is 9. I also am a proud Nana of 4 wonderful grandchildren. My son Stephen is stationed in San Diego on the Nimitz. .

- When I heard “Navy,” I:
- Was proud and encouraged it
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- that commitment was essential. Will literally turn you kids aroung if they are commited
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
