Welcome aboard! Come join us on the Indiana page on this website! You may also want to look into the DEPPER's and Boot Camp pages.

Hi Terri
I tripped across your question about leaving for boot camp earlier. The Navy is pretty full for recruits right now. However, be sure and invite the recruiter to meet at your home with you and your "DEPPER" and express your desire to be on the list to call up if a vacancy should occur. Right now they are pretty much sending in to boot camp those whose jobs the Navy needs to fill.
Hope this helps

Hi Terri, welcome to Navy for Mom's:)) You will find a lot of answers, support and encouragement here. My daughter, Ashley (20), has been in the Navy for 2 years and is an IT3 & my future son-in-law Tim has been in since Feb 2008 stationed on the USS Nimitz. What will your son/daughter be doing with the Navy? If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad you joined and look forward to hearing more about you & your recruit. Pat
