- Hi Jeanie! My son has been in Pensacola since 8/5. He is actually going to college there to finish his degree then will get in line for A school beginning in January. He is part of the Accelerate to Excellence Program so he has to finish his degree before A school. He loves Pensacola and the Navy. We went to visit him 3 weeks ago and took him his car. We had a great visit and got to see some of the base. It is huge and really nice. Matt is going in to ATT then ATI.

- Hi Jeanie, Jesse graduates 10/9. He's a grad-n-go then heads to Correy station. How's Clay doing? What's his rate (job)? Jesse's going in as a CTR.

I am not sure if Brian knows your son. Our last name is Shuckerow, so he might be able to look him up.
I found out that my son had to leave the day of graduation, because it depended on which div. they were in. Since Brian was in the lowest # div. (div. 279) they had to be shipped out first. The next group to ship out would of been div. 280 and so on. We met him at the airport and stayed there until his plane left. Sad to see him go but I am very happy he is happy about what he is doing with his life. I'm a proud Mom, as I know you are also. Let me know how your visit goes in Pensacola. I was hoping to go but work is hectic now that I am back and I won't be able to take any time off. Have a wonderful trip visiting your son. =)

Thanks for sending me a note. I don't get in the chat too often. I find this all a little overwhelming. I haven't really received any real solid news from my son yet. He is married but she and I talk everyday, and it doesn't seem like she has received any solid news either. He has said a few times that he is a grad & go, but I have heard that his school is back logged. If I get any more news I will surely let you know. I hope I get a chance to meet you. We are hoping to get to the meet & greet. Talk to you soon.

Misty ProudMomOfASailor- Blake said… - It was posted on the Bootcamp Moms group. They wouldn't have pics probably b/c they were marching. The only pics that can be taken at PIR is inside the building (forget the name) where PIR is held. No pictures are allowed on base outside of there. If they see you taking them, they can confinscate the camara. :( It is good to hear they were seen though and looked good!! :)

He told me they got into a little trouble and they are very busy so that is why we have not heard from them. John did say that he doesnt leave for florida until late sunday or early monday morning. that is good. I thinkk we need to be patient with letters now, most of them have passed their tests so I would assume most will be pir on the 814 as planned. have a good day

Pat said… - Trust me, I know all about how boys don't communicate esp in comparison to girls...lol. I'm not sure about the score but he has to pass the PT test to PIR (graduate). Why is your son going up in rank?? Did he enter boot camp w/ a higher rank in his contract or is he being promoted in boot camp? Phone calls are not predictable so they never know in advance when they'll be able to call.

- No, he can only write once a week, on Sunday morning but they can receive mail everyday but Sunday.

- Hi! Yes, he can get mail from you every day depending on how often you send. But they only have one day they can write letters and that is Sunday. So, like for us, we usually get a letter from him on Thursday. Hope this helps!
