I have 4 kids and first one just left for bc Oct 30th. The others are 16, 14, and 11. I didn't realize it would be so difficult when he left.

It's good to hear from you. Ryan had told me that he had heard that Darin is home. I'm sure he is doing well but tell him I asked about him anyway. Ryan seems to be doing ok. I hear from him every couple of days. The deployment is hard but not as bad as BC was for me. Please keep in touch. Theresa

Hi Vicki,
My son will PIR on April 17th. We are so excited and proud that he has chosen this path. He is doing very well and told us he can get mail every day but that one of the addresses that was given to us is the wrong one and that slows down the mail. He can only write and send mail on Sundays but we received two letters from him today saying he has passed all of his physical testing including the swim and he is the only one on his group to get a perfect score on his small arms practice inspetions. We live in Medford and I was wondering if there was a local group of moms that get together for coffee, etc. or if you would like to get something started?

Thanks for checking in on us. Ryan is loving the Navy and seems to be doing well. I guess everything is good now that he doesn't have to run every day. :)) How is Darin? I'm sure he is doing great. Thank-you for your comment. I received a letter this morning!!! MY son sounds good, all things considered. And yes telling him to stay positive and hang in there is so important. Take care. Hope you are doing well!

Hi Vicki, another Q for you, will they not get mail for some reason, (like someone messing up or something), I got a letter saying he just wishes he would hear from someone he's having a hard time. but we have sent 6 letters the first being on the 18th jan. I'm starting to freak out a little thinking he's not getting the long distance encouragement and support i know he needs! thanks again, your info has been the best.
