I started a group for the Miami. You can find it at USS Miami. You can spread the word to other Miami moms.

There is not a group for the Miami. But if you start one I'll be there.

HI mysailormark. This is Jerri. I know Lyn said you could get in touch with me. My son is on the Miami for his second deployment with them. He is a machinist mate (Petty Officer Third Class) and has been in for three years. I haven't heard from my son since about the first week in Septembe either, but I feel no news is good news. I know he is safe and must be working really hard. Once you get in touch with the ombudsman, they will inform us via e-mail when homecoming will be. The last thing I heard was don't make any kind of hotel, plane, etc. reservations until we hear. I lost the cost of one plane ticket when they postponed it. Hopefully, we won't have to wait long. Let me hear from you. My home e-mail is jhill1122@hotmail.com. I check that all the time, as I just periodically get on N4M. Jerri

My name is Lyn, I keep forgetting to tell new moms. I use to use my name but had to change it because my oldest son is a CTN and it made him nervous to have my name on any group.

miami755ombud@live.com is the e-mail address for the Miami's ombudsman. Her name is Nicole and she is very nice and can answer all your questions.

I found the e-mail address for the FRG. They will be able to get you into contact with the Ombudsman. Its: ussmiamifrg@hotmail.com Just explain who you are and that you want to welcome your son home. They're great ladies and they'll walk you through the process.
