Hi GeeBee-
Thanks for checking in. My son left for bootcamp on 10/7. Unfortunately I missed 2 of his calls & only received a short note from him. I do expect to fly to Chicago for the boot camp graduation. Very excited to hear about his new life adventure. After boot ,camp, I believe he will be going to Grey Goose, SC for the nuke program. Is that where your son is now? How is it going for him?

Hi GeeBee, How is your sailor liking Goose Creek? We will be going there on Nov. 20 for Jeff's Power School graduation. He is staying there for Prototype but will be on hold for 2 months before it starts. Jeff has been there for 17 months with a LONG hold between "A" school and Power School. This will be the first time that we have gone down there to see him. Can't wait! Best to you and your sailor!! Pat

geebee - it was great having breakfast with you and your family. Congrats on your new sailor and good luck. Keep you chin up and give a big smile when you think of him. Just think of the man he has become. What an honor to pass boot camp and become a sailor. Best of Luck to your family and his future in the US Navy. Lesa

Hi again Gee Bee, just connected the dots and realized you are the Mom who was worried about her son passing his run. He must have done so! :) Guess he conquered that 40 seconds (and then some?) . Good for him. btw: you really should delete MommaB's post below that contains her last name. It violates OPSEC rules IF her Recruit shares that last name. We have to help each other learn to protect our Sailors! :-) Please remind your friends, PIR and DIV Groups to make friend requests and use their Private Message options to share such info as last names (That's how the Recruit's know each other), cell#s and private email addys. Thanks for spreading the word and reminder to Moms of new Sailors! =) Congrats to yours!!

Hi Gee Bee, Yes it was a typo I am so sorry. I did the same thing on a letter to my son JP and it took forever to get to him. I cant wait to meet you all and I still have not gotten a call from John about graduation so I hope to hear from him soon. Did you get one yet?

Hello GeeBee,
We should get a call hopefully by Friday from our recruits saying i'm a USA Sailor if they have passed all tests. If not they might be able to redo boot camp. This is a stressful time for us as we are all making our plans to go to graduation. If you go to our group Momma B has made a comment about it also. You can also call your recruits recruiter to find out more info. I hope i have answered your question. Have a grt nite, hugs to you.

GeeBee,

How are you? I am doing good, just counting the days down. We cant wait. I dont know if your son not making the run time, what would happen. I think that if his PIR date is going to change then he would call you to let you know. I figure that this week we should get the call by the end of the week saying that they are Navy Sailors. (hopefully they will give him more of a chance to make the time) I would hope so. Keep in touch with me and let me know what is going on. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.
