Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
To let go, she made this decision and joined with so much excitement and determination. I learned that we all have our path in life and this is hers. My children teach me new things about myself everyday
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made
My Family is My greatest acheivment. They make me proud every day.

Being on hold and waiting

My daughter finally classed up on Monday!!!
She was at first a little frustrated and anxious to get started. After a month of waiting she found she had some great times. She became a yoeman, she helped in the cleaning and organization of an area, she made new friends and enjoyed the company of old ones.
My daughter says that her time in between class and BC was a huge part of the learning curve as a Sailor.
We all learn from everyday life she just taught me a lesson.

Hi Wendy,
How's it going? Hey did you see that there is a picnic in Tucson coming up in a couple of months. I am planning on being there, I would love to see you and your family if possible, think about it and let me know. Hope you have a great week.

Good morning Wendy, thank you for your condolences. My brother lived in Tennessee with our sister and her husband, and my other two brothers live in NJ where I am from. It is hard being that far apart because we usually only see each other at funerals, which is a terrible way to have a family reunion.
My daughter is a young mother, not so sure about me being a young grandma. We were married for fourteen years before having her and then two years later the twins, but she got married in Sept of 2004 and Jamie was born in August the following year so they didn't waste any time.
I love him though he is so much fun I told Kristen (our daughter) that this is so much fun we should have done it first. We try to take him as often as we can. His sister McKenzie is still attached to momma, she is only one so we don't take her for the over nights quite as often as we do Jamie.
Josh, our Navy son has a baby girl that is 11 days younger than his sister's baby girl. That was fun having them pregnant together seeing who was going to go first. Their due dates were three days apart, but Josh's wife went over. Her name is Alexis and we haven't seen her since May, neither has Josh. He really misses her and can't wait for them to all be together again when he gets to King's Bay. She now walks and talks so it will be a big change for him. Amber, his wife lets them talk on the phone and he loves it.
She has been in Texas with her mom since Josh left. But any way grand children as people say are our rewards for not killing our own children LOL
Actually I was very fortunate with mine growing up.
Well you have your self a great day!!! Kathie

I don't even like driving in Seattle or Portland, at least on the freeways. The outlying areas aren't bad. I have heard, though, that the addressing system in Seattle is insane. Thank goodness for google maps!

I didn't drive there, but riding in Italy was scary!

I know what you mean about Battleground and Brush Prairie. When my sister was living and teaching there it was still farm country. Now it's a real suburb. My sailor and his wife and son live in Virginia. It's pretty, but the traffic was so crazy. I rented a car when I was out there and had a hard time finding my way around.
