Missing the Boy!

I guess every day when I log on to this site...I see the picture I attached to this blog and it is so JOHN! "the Right Back at You" Look... Is It True ... ? Question About Memorial Day Weekend !

Hey everyone ! I was wondering if anyone knew if it was true that if you are a Phase 2, you are allowed to come home on Memorial Day Weekend !? My boyfriend said that it was a rumor floating around his A school in Pensacola and he is trying to find out if that is true or not ! So I figured I would ask on here to see if anyone has a sailor that knows for sure or if your sailor has already been through the Memorial Day Weekend holiday in the Navy ! Absence from NFM

I want to thank everyone here at NFM's for their support during Em's boot camp time. I have made so many contacts with so many amazing women it stuns me. I've very rarely had female friends in my life so this has been a different experience!

Letter Day May I have a turn at Bragging

Wow I am so excited only 8 more days! So I received what will most likely be my son's last letter from RTC Lat week he had 2 5.0 inspections (weapons and uniform). He said he had another this past week but did not say for what. He also got Sharpshooter, which I mentioned before somewhere. My son is being discharged!

My son Matt just called me from the legal office. He had a meeting with his commanding officer, who said she hates to lose him, because he would have made a great sailor, but she would release him per his wishes. My son sounded exhausted and is sick , and has been refusing to go to medical because he had all this paper work to do. I asked him to please go to medical and get himself taken care of. Got Another Letter Today

Hello all. I received another letter today.. Jarrett says he is good and getting into really good shape, not that he wasn't but I guess it's a different kind now.. He said he has seen a few of the guuys he was in PT classes with here , but not the one guy he rode with and did extra things with (Chad) .Chad went in a few weeks before Jarrett , so that maybe one reason he hasn't seen him.. I just got a letter from Nick today :) they have been getting to me every wednesday...



My baby got 2 medals :) he has earned a Marksman Medal and National Defense, which he didnt explain to me what that one was only that hes most proud of that and he drew me a picture of it :) hehehe



I know I might sound silly and Im sure hes not the only one getting medals, but it makes me so proud that hes doing sooooooooooo well :) and he seems soooooooo grown up now...

Survey; do you consider all capitals yelling?

I have been told that all capitals is considered yelling. I would appreciate feedback on that from NFM moms. I was using caps to emphasize my words, since my computer skill don't extend to putting pix, videos, smilley guys and other illustrations on the page.I read some etiquette for internet stuff supplied by the administrator, that says that, but it also says jumpy pix, chain letters and other things I have seen here or received on my home internet page are "rude" also.

"Carrier" on PBS

Has anyone been watching the 10 part series on PBS called "Carrier"??? It's pretty interesting!! It started Sunday night and runs for 5 nights at 8-10 central time.

my PIR 4/25.........

Its taken me a few days to write and describe my time at PIR just b/c it seems like when I leave home EVERYTHING goes haywire!! Pir was awesome, I was able to inform my brother, parents and 2yr old niece what was happening etc, from the other moms who had been there b4 me, and it was every bit as spectacular as they described, the band was awesome, the flags were perfect, the singing was awesome, and best of all for those who weren't in good seats, they displayed it on 2 separate screens, so… Continue

I got the form letter from my son last Wednesday, in it he said he was there at boot camp, it was hard, but with his never ending sense of humor, said he got a free haircut. On Saturday I got his box…
