I wish each and every one of you a safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Even tho I don't get online as much as I would like to, I want you all to know that Navy For Moms has been a wonderful and calming lifeline for me. It is so nice to know that on the days I feel up to it, I can just sit and read your entries and know that I am not alone.
You all are wonderful and I give thanks everyday for each one of you. Blessings to all....Pam

My son is a perfect gentleman, he lifts my heart daily with just his voice. When I see him and hold him in my arms. I seem not able to let go so easily. I hold on tight sometimes squezzing him to much. But I can never get enough of his company. I am always finding myself listening to him. Compared to when he was younger. I learned how to enjoy his presence. I like when he tells me how he is doing and feeling. I love his looks… Continue

Happy New Year to all of my Navy for Moms!
Please remember to be very very careful out there today and this evening. Remind your sailors (and other loved ones) that this is among the most dangrerous of all days to go out for the evening. There will be many that normally do not drink that will be drinking tonight. There are more accidents that may have been prevented by not drinking tonight or having a designated driver.
Have a safe and Happy New Year

Happy Holidays! It's been great, now that Jeremy has liberty he's home every other day. Until school starts again, then just weekends. We're enjoying it as much as we can, spending all the time together as a family as possible. He already knows he'll be gone for 2 years after Feb.

Thanks to everyone who has responded to my blog. Kris did not get to call on Christmas day which made it a very sad day. We did get to hear from him on Monday after though. He sounded good but is really ready to be done with this part. Being away for the holidays has really been hard on him, and us. We will have a week in Great Lakes with him before he has to be in San Diego for A school. He will be training for sonar tech. I do not know alot about that so if anyone does I would love to learn… Continue

We have all had the experience of worrying about something at some point in our lives. Some of us have a habitual tendency to worry, and all of us have known someone who is a chronic worrier. Worry is an extension of fear and can be a very draining experience. In order for worry to exist, we have to imagine that something bad might happen. What we are worrying about has not happened yet, however, so this bad thing is by definition a fantasy. Understood this way, worry is a self-created state… Continue

May we know that it is the journey that is important. May we find our own truths and the divine within ourselves and in doing so help our fellow travelers to find their own. May we see each other through spirit and not through worldly eyes.

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not
my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
I had complete control of my mind
and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a… Continue
