He is gone. off to follow his desire. I am sure he is working hard.
I told him before he left I was going to have my own boot camp. I have been lazy and need to lose some weight. So the idea was to get up everyday and work out like he is working out. Of course, it is my form of bootcamp, not THE bootcamp.
I am South Beaching it for two weeks to clean up eating habits and start the weight loss. I am using the exercise program in Escape Your Shape, which I can do at home or at the gym. A colleague…

Hey everyone!
It’s been a few months since we last shared a video with you, but I think you’ll really enjoy the one we are posting today! For all of you who have a son or daughter currently at, or soon to be entering Boot Camp, I present “Navy Racks – Boot Camp”.
Instead of just telling you about what your son or daughter will be experiencing at BC, Chief Arlene Maier will be your guide through this behind-the-scenes peak at Great Lakes. She’s actually an RDC at Boot Camp – a mom of three hers…

Well week two is now on its last legs. Still no letter from Maeghen or the navy wondering if she fell into the void but I received an email from another mother and she was wondering the samething. So Im resonable sure that she is not alone in the void. I know what could be happening to her by the videos and other's experiences but it sure would be nice to at least get a line from her. I remember in bootcamp we had an hour every night to write and it was highly recommended we did lol and I unders…

PIR was the happiest day for me! Having my son in my arms was the best Christmas gift I could have dreamed of.
The event itself was really awsome! It looked as if they worked for weeks just on it. I know that Joseph says they praticed only once but wow it didn't look that way.
I still remember how proud I was when I first spoted him in the ranks! I teared up. I wanted to just go right out then and hug him so tight. I didn't think it would ever be time for that. Then we they released them for lea…

I was going through my friends list today and trying to find the ones who are new navy moms and are going through boot camp. I started posting on their pages some links that I personally found useful during boot camp. So here are the links for those of you that are new to the navy and would like some more information.

Wow! Reading all the other posts, I did not expect to get the box this soon. He arrived in GL on Monday so I thought it would be a week, at least. But when I came home from my daughter's dance class, my husband very casually said, "By the way, Garrett's box came". The stinker had already opened it.
Inside were the clothes my son had intended to pitch or donate, a small drawstring bag that I recommended he use to keep all his papers and little stuff together since it would have folded up to the…

I found this link re a recruit injured in bootcamp, not Navy but the answers to the parents questions may provide assistance to recruits injured in bootcamp
Question
QUESTION: My daughter joined the army last year. At boot camp she fell out of her bunk and broke her hand in multiple areas. They took her to an ortho doctor who wanted to cast it and send her home to heal the bring her back. My daughter proved…

Allllllllright. Just to follow up with the multiple PM’s that I have received and chatter on the boards dealing with this RDC issue.
The issue being- (from the moms) that the RDC’s were taking in the book camp recruits behind closed doors and showing them their mom’s page. Yesterday we made some calls… and here is our update directly from our Navy representative:
“The issue of confidentiality and the RDC’s at Recruit Training Command is being resolved. The CMD Master Chief is having a "h…

Oh - my - God!!!!!! It was my worst fear. I knew it would happen. Aaron was always a bit impulsive, but this time he had really done it. This was one mess he would not be able to get out of. And all of my concerns had made a shining debut into my/his reality. They were yelling at him over every little thing, he hated the food, the other guys, ALL the Chiefs, all the orders, even the darned bed!!! Now what? In the letter he'd written he wasn't really asking for advice, just angry. And, I think, k…
