Hi everyone, I found out the 31 July 2009 that I was selected for Chief. Wanted to let you all know that I won't be on very much over the next 6 weeks as I will be going though "training" on how to be a Chief.

Well, have to love the storms we have up here. Raining, thunder, lighting, turning to ice storm! I am waiting for the electrican to come and fix the power (half the house is out) and the phone person to come to fix the land line. They both went out last night. The phone was the fun one though, as when the phone went out somehow 911 was called not once but twice. What a thing to get woken up to in the middle of the night...the dog growling and the police banging on your door as they said the 911…

WOW!! Never thought the Navy would pay for my husband and myself to go on a marriage retreat. They paid for everything, my COC gave me the time off, my husbands COC got time off, and we go to learn more about each other! Spend time together away from the day to day rush.....

Well here I sit, making sure the fire dosen't go out! LOL! The boiler that heats my house died today. There will be no funeral for it, but the doc is coming back in the am with a new part. Hopefully it is just injured and can be fixed quickly!
Luckly we should be above freezing thur. What sucks though is we might miss our marriage retreat due to having to be home with the guy brings the part for the boiler.
We will see what happens.

My doggy is doing great! She loves running around in the snow, but when it gets to deep she refuses to go in the snow. So my hubby had to snow blow part of the back yard so she could go the bathroom on the grass and not on the sidewalk. Ok..we really are spoiling her, but she only has 3 legs and has terminal cancer. I tried to take a pic of my hubby snowblowing the back yard, but couldn't find the camara :~{

Took my murder board for MTS. Murder board is where you get drilled for hours on everything in the qual you are trying to get! MTS = Master Training Specialist. The people in the Navy who are instructors, have to have that qual.
Also just took my final for Psych class!
My real board for MTS is Wend at 1400!
My final for Soci is on Friday!

Well my baby girl is still doing well. We had a scare the other day, we came home after going out for lunch and she was dragging her rear end! I freaked out. Called the vet to get her in ASAP to get X-rays. When we got there they asked, which back leg is bothering her! UGH!!! Luckly the tech who knows her, told us she had it and we could wait for the Vet. I was in tears, so worried we where going to have to put her down :~{ Well after the X-rays and everything the Vet said she must have…

Well our little girl is doing really good! We talked to the Vet and we are not going to do the Chemo at all. Don't want to put her though that.
We are keeping an eye on her and if she isn't like herself we will take her right back to the vet.
She is refusing to go up the back stairs now, which is fine. We let her in the front door now, what is crazy though is when she wants to go out, she wants out the back door, and then comes around to the front door to come back in. She won't go in the back…

Found out she has Osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer) which is the most aggressive of the bone cancers. Not sure what our next step is going to be :~{ She is acting like a puppy after having her leg removed, and now we find this out.... We have to decide if we want to try chemo or not, no matter what she has less than a year to until she has to leave us :~{

23 Oct: She is doing much better. Came the few stairs we have in the back yard, with one of us just holding her collar. She slipped but caught herself. So glad she decided to come up them herself, or she was going to be stuck in the house as I can't pick her up. LOL!
She even picked up her toys!
Each day she seems to be doing better. Now we just have to wait for the report from the dr, showing if they got all the cancer.

21 Oct: Well my baby girl is at the Vet this morning. She is getting her leg amputated, she has bone cancer. We will find out latter how the surgery went, and another week for the biopsy to come back.
22 Oct: She is home from the Vet. We (hubby and myself) slept on the couches last night so she wouldn't have to try to follow us in the bed room. She woke up once during the night whimpering as she had to go out. Hubby had to carry her outside to go potty.
