We started our journey around 11 pm on Tuesday night so we could get there Wednesday by Noon. I didn't realize that half my trip was going to be in West Virginia. Talk about Mountains.. Oh My... As Many of you know, I have a daughter with a form of Autism called Aspergers Syndrome or AS. Autism affects 1 out of every 150 children today. Of those 1 out of every 5 are girls. Hello friends and Navy Family.... Here are a few pictures that I bravely took today. This first one is a piece of Ice I was able to chisel away. I took a pen to measure the thickness. Then pen is behind the ice block and you could still stick 2 more pens beneath it. The second picture is of my vehicle to show you how much we got. I feel compelled to write this due to the overwhelming "drama" transpired the last week in the chat room. The chat room is a vice we all use to keep in real live contact with one another. As I sit here this morning... All is quiet... My hert aches for my son. He has shown that he has become a man. My son divided his leave up between his father and I. To some that may not be a big thing. But for us it is. We are in 2 different parts of the country. Here I sit... Surrounded by 250+ christmas cards and stickers.... I also went out and bought sponge bob wrapping paper. My plan is to cut out each and every sponge bob on the roll ( I got 2 rolls just to make sure ) and place a sticker on the back that says : You Just Got Sponged! Pass the joy of Sponge Along.
