Drew is back in CT

Andrew has been home for the last week while on hold from A School. While home, he has been so active, which is so unlike what he was before he joined the Navy. Before Navy he was ALWAYS at home. Now he is always out. While I was happy that he was going out, I couldn't help feel that I was being "Shut out." When I would ask him where he was going he would say, "I'm an adult now. USS New Hampshire Commissioning

Unexpected Phone Call

Yesterday I received a phone call from California! That was unexpected for me. At first I thought, "Another bill collecter?" Since Dennis's serious illnes last year we have not been able to catch up. It was a good thing I picked up the phone. She said that her name was Darcy, and she was from California. Then she said, "I have your son's Navy pictures." Sorta Bad Day for Mom

Today was a kind of bad day. I know it sounds silly, but my husband and I went grocery shopping (bi-weekly) for the first time since Drew left. It started out okay, but before you knew it I just needed very badly to get out of there.
