Steve reaches his year mark this week, and I wanted to write this witty, funny blog. I wanted to recap all this Navy "Stuff". Things I learned and unlearned. Red, white and blue hoooyaaaa and everything. Having come onto this site just days after it hit the net, I wanted to thank the amazing, strong women I have grown to love, who walk through this journey together. But I am stumped.
so thank you ladies, (you know who you are) it is an honor to grow up with you :P

WATFORD CITY (AP) - Leaving their small towns and farms for the battlefields of Europe and the South Pacific, the young men of McKenzie County became part of a war that both changed the world and shaped their lives.
Nine of those veterans share their World War II memories in an hour-long documentary, "Small Town Soldiers," produced by Watford City native Cody Shimek, a freelance videographer in Minneapolis.
Shimek called the film a labor of love. Although it took years to finish, the project c…

Today I got the most beautiful home made card in the mail from another Navy Mom. It's not a holiday or my birthday, just a card. I noticed we are over 19,000 members. Amazing Amzing Amazing, I remember when we were less then 100. What a diverse and talented group, knitters, pillow case sewers, scrapbookers, teachers, photographers, cooks and so much more. We have moms that walk, and organize events and pack boxes. Wow wow wow. Great Job to all of you!

'Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.'
