Navy For Moms

Dearest N4M’s Community:

As we gain 20 + members a day… I need you to be unique in your display name. Go ahead… and click on the Members tab and type in the Carol, or Karen, or Linda. Yeah… Crazy eh?
http://www.navyformoms.com/profiles/members/

It’s tough for me and the community to tell the difference you and another person with your name- if you don’t make it unique. You end up being Sue13. (in your url).
You don’t have you use your last name. (Trust me, I only want you to share what you are comfortable with!) Heck, I encourage you to be creative. The more creative- the more likely I am going to remember you (along with the community).
And let’s say you read this- and you did a search on your name- and you didn’t see another. And you think- okay cool I don’t need to change it. But the thing is- just because there may not be another Danielle, Katrina, or Lilly now… doesn’t mean there will not be one tomorrow, or next week… or a year from now.
I feel like a bad mother admin sometimes when mix up my Paula’s and Darlene’s. So please… be UNIQUE. Because we all are in the first place!

From your Admin, Catherine MC... Maybe I should sign things CMC

Q: Where do I go to edit my Ning profile?

A:You can edit your Ning profile by signing into www.ning.com. Once you are signed in, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “My Ning Profile” link under “My Ning.”

This was a problem way back in March for me. My name is Dianna, but that was already taken. Most people call me Lynn, but that was already taken way back in March. Now I keep seeing Lynn and thinking it is me, or Kimberly, wondering why she keeps changing her picture. But I think there is only one Molly. Thanks for the reminder. I hope people will be creative.

Kimberly, you didn't have to change. You were the first, the prototype, the original. If you change the picture, give me warning.

Ooohh, Catherine, now you're stretching me out of my comfort zone! See, change is... hard, I don't like it, do I hafta, really...I mean, I know there are already two or more Angies on here, so I respectfully used my last initial, but o.k, if that isn't enough, then I'll try to come up with something better. Ya know, creativity uses a lot of brain cells, and after 4 kids, I don't have that many to spare, but for you, Madam Admin, I'll make the effort, if you insist. Kimberly rbd (didn't you just change that?), I might need a private session with you when I'm done, all the stress you know. Maybe I'll just go get a massage and let the creative juices flow. ;)

I guess my new name is ok..?? It also helps because "dad" wants to get on and add messages sometimes too... Of course he makes sure people know it is him by adding
"dad" !! LOL

Hehe Yep! It's great! Tell dad to open up his own account if he wants! (lol- there are no limits!).
