USPS Military Holiday Mail Deadlines: Make Sure You Send Your Package Out In Time!

Hey everyone!

I know that many of you are sending out care packages and letters to your loved ones for the holidays. To ensure that whatever you mail out reaches your Sailor or Officer in time, please be sure to send it out by the deadline specified by the USPS.

Cut off dates begin on November 13th, depending on the shipping method you chose and your Sailor/Officer's location.

You can find a full list of deadlines within a news release the USPS just posted last week here:

I'm pushing a new group in our church, and we are working hard to make the deadlines. I have printed off your resource information and am glad you had it all ready for us!

Christmas!! I just barely got my Halloween decorations up! lol. For the first time ever, I think I will be glad to see Christmas candy and stuff on the shelves early. I guess I better go shopping! Thanks again for the info.

I recently asked our CO here if officers are considered sailors and his response was 'yes'.

If your Sailor is in the Middle East, 6 weeks before Christmas is more realistic.

Help! What are you talking about? I'm so new to this. My daughter SHOULD graduate on Dec. 18th. I'm sure she will be stuck in GL for Christmas. That's also where her A-school is. Is there a deadline as to when we can send goodies? Maybe I should just take it with me to her graduation. I would appreciate any suggestions on this! Thanks to all you great Moms for the guidance!!

Suzann: Most of us are talking about shipping Christmas packages to our Sailors who are overseas on ships. Your daughter will let you know what the plan is for Christmas at Great Lake.
