Job interview
The interview went well, I'll find out in the next couple of days if I got the job...there was one thing that bothered me though....it was a group interview...I just don't feel like group interviews are that great of an idea, some of the girls I interviewed with were navy wives and girlfriends so that was cool! Anyways.....I'm sending another letter out to my husband today...this is my 3rd letter I'll be sending... and he's been gone a week and some change...i know I'm ridiculous!

I have a son in GL and I wrote to him at least 2 - 3 time a week and other times I would send a funny card or newspaper article. I believe it takes weeks for them to learn who the guys are around them and then I believe they start developing friends. My son PIR'd 9/18/09 and is on the other side in the ATT school. Once your husband can have his cell phone it will be so much better. You will be able to talk, text and send pictures. If you have further questions I will be glad to tell what my experience has been but there others on some of the groups that are much more knowledgeable than me. Good luck to you and your family.

Tosten's wife, you aren't ridiculous at all! I sent a letter or card to my son when he was in BC every single day. He really appreciated it! Mail is like gold to them at BC. They start getting their letters around week 2. I rec'd my first letter from him around week 2 also. Don't be surprised if in his first letter he writes that he hasn't rec'd any mail yet. That happened to me and I felt bad but by the very next letter, he said he got the letters I had sent. They write on Sundays between 7-1 along with ironing and getting things ready for inspections. You will start to get your letters on the same day each week: for me it was Thursdays and for others it was Wednesdays. Hang in there! Let me know if you have any questions!
