Navy For Moms

Bryan called about an hour ago and was too excited. He was beyond understandable words! They received about 70 orders or so and he was given his! Bryan will be on the USS Makin Island. The ship is currently being built, but is supposed to be done sometime in November. I am calling it a ship, but not sure if that is correct. I will have to get back to you on that! In any case.....Bryan will end up in San Diego when the ship is commissioned in the spring of 2009. I cannot tell you how relieved I am! I was so concerned when he was talking combat training. I am hoping that these orders are written in stone! San Diego here we come! Just two hours down the road from me! Relief.....relief.....relief........

OH THank GOD, Kimberly. I know how worried you must have been. I bet he was excited. So do you get to visit him while his boat (ship) is being built??

I am learning that my son is keeping everything hush hush from his Mom! Geez.....I cannot catch a break here. He has to get the paper orders and then he will be home. I am not sure that I can take a surprise visit so I am hoping he will just spit it out. Diane just gave me the breakdown of how it works from orders to home so I am hoping it all goes quick!

He is going to love what I did to his bed. I threw his yucky old sheets out....bought new very feminine pretty flowered sheets! With a beautiful comforter. Hope he likes good smelling, beautiful sheets! I had to when my other son moved back in, but when he left, I bought what I wanted! No excuse I know! So I will go get some manly looking stuff. I think I have some time before he gets here. Whew!!!!!

I think he's just gonna be happy to be home, no matter what home looks like.
