Navy For Moms

Well, I finally heard back from my daughter, letting me know the latest on her condition. First of all, she heard from her husband and they are sending him home. He should be arriving sometime this evening. YEA! Second, the doctor just put her on complete bed rest for the duration of her pregnancy. Poor thing is only 16 weeks, so it is going to be a very long 5 1/2 months. She will have to go weekly to be re-evaluated but...They did an ultrasound this morning and the baby is very active and sucking her thumb. Very cute. Her placenta is over her cervix and had attached itself. Now it is trying to detach and that is what is causing her problems. Now it has turned into a waiting game. The doctor told her that it could fix itself but not to get her hopes up too much. I will keep everyone updated on her condition. I really appreciate all of your help with this and can't thank you enough for your prayers and words of encouragement. Your willingness to help someone you don't even know, is beyond words. Thank god I found this site. Otherwise, I would be more of a basket case than I already am, lol. God bless you all!!!

How wonderful her husband will be home to support her at this time. That should make her feel much better and we will hope that her condition keeps improving. I bet she loved seeing that ultrasound...a thumb sucker already!

Micki E, thank God. You just got a crash course in your other family, NFM. Stick around. In a couple of months, you will probably be helping someone else. Five and 1/2 months and on bedrest. Maybe we can find some ways to counteract boredom.

So glad to hear things are under control. Tell your daughter she really needs to obey those doctors orders for a healthy baby. Hope she likes to read and watch TV. Does she have friends where she is who can help her till her hubby gets home?
