Navy For Moms

Well...Zach called yesterday and was at the airport heading to A school in Pensacola, Florida. I thought I would be alright after getting to see him at graduation but it is still really tough but I am so incredibly proud of him. As I watched him throughout the weekend I saw a huge change in him but most of all I saw a man...not a boy anymore. I saw respect and dignity in him and rightly so...I don't think he nor any other person serving in any military branch know just how thankful we are to have them protecting us. We had strangers approach him just to say thanks...I get chills just remembering...It is a blessing to have Zach as my son and an honor having him protect our country and freedom. Sorry this took me so long to post...having computer problems...will try to post pics from graduation soon. CONGRATS to all of you as well!!!

I so understand what you're saying. I was on the phone today, talking to a stranger and in the conversation I mentioned my son is in the US Navy. Towards the end of our conversation the man I was talking to asked me to thank my son for his service to our country. I told him I would tell my son. I'm so proud of my sailor. Again, I really do understand.

My son also graduated on the 22 and called that he was going to Pensacola yesterday but I haven't heard anything since. Have you heard anything? I was wondering if they really went to Pensacola due to the approaching hurricane.
Wasn't the PIR and the change in our sons amazing!
