Navy For Moms

Hi all,
I've gotten many comments and I appreciate that. My husband went to Virginia Beach today to see our son, so I have been busy getting him ready for his trip.

A tiger cruise is when the Navy allows civilans to ride the aircraft carrier from Hawaii to San Diego or Everett, Washington. I would imagine that the Atlantic fleet does the same. You live where the sailors live, in other words, there aren't guest quarters. And yes, I did ask my son that question. He laughed pretty hard.

It is an experience of a lifetime! I highly recommend you do it if you are able. A couple of tigers and I were wondering if the ships that travel with the Lincoln as part of the strike group, also have a tiger cruise at the same time.
One mom said a friend of hers was taking it, but her child was on a different ship. We never figured out if those tigers were on the Lincoln or each individual ship.

I will refer you to this website: www.kvoa.com. I wrote a daily blog for my local newstation. I checked this morning and days 3 & 8 still weren't posted. Day 3 got lost in cyberspace so I rewrote it when I got home.

Thanks for writing to me!
Sue
