Our sailors are doing their part, we, as citizens, must do ours. I am sick today from my dental work, I feel like throwing up, I had to walk to the polling place. But I voted. I don't like politics and never am quite certain all my choices are correct. But I voted. I don't like the current crop of politicians, or the ridiculous ads, or the confusion and debate. But I voted. I know voting doesn't get me selected for jury duty or raise my taxes or cause me any troubles, so I voted.

I have lived in countries where the elections are shams or certain groups are not allowed to vote. But I am an American, I have the right to vote. So I voted. I have the opportunity to exercise a right that otherwise I could lose, so I voted. I am trying to be a good citizen, so I voted. The constitution says I can vote, so I voted.

There is still time. If you can possibly go vote, GO VOTE. No weak excuses. Just go vote.

Today's the day. Vote or suffer. "for evil to prosper all it needs is for good people to do nothing."

I voted. And like Anti M, I can't be sure I made all the right choices. But I did exercise my right to vote. And by the way, jury duty is cool. Everyone should have a chance. I'm still waiting for mine.

"Men [and women] are qualified for civil liberty in exact proportion to their disposition to put moral chains upon their own appetites, — in proportion as their love to justice is above their rapacity, — in proportion as their soundness and sobriety of understanding is above their vanity and presumption, — in proportion as they are more disposed to listen to the counsels of the wise and good, in preference to the flattery of knaves."

i voted also.

Some of my friends say no one should vote unless they have studied the issues and candidates and know what they are doing. I say you can vote for a monkey on a rock, and be as dumb as the rock, just vote. If the "informed" voters care, they'll get off their duffs and into the polling places.

I don't care if folks are right, left, liberal, conservative, moderate or crazy, they are all Americans. We are all in this together, we should all turn out and exercise our rights!

I stood in line for 45 minutes after work and I voted. I am proud to have the right to vote. Some countries don't. K
